Meet Our Team
Anthony (Tony) Sfreddo, President
Tony has over 30 years of experience in the pest control industry. He is also a proud University of Virginia alumnus (Class of 1990). His favorite part of being in the industry is building friendships and meeting a wide range of people on a personal level. Tony started Monticello Pest Solutions along with two great partners to fill a void in Charlottesville for a truly family and locally owned pest control company that prioritizes fostering a genuine connection with the local community. After all, small businesses are the backbone of any community. When you support local, you pour back into the community to help it thrive.
His commitment with Monticello Pest Solutions is to treat every client with the same degree of respect and importance. Just like in everyday life, he carries the mindset of “treat people the way you want to be treated” in his approach in business. Outside of work, Tony enjoys golfing, hiking, spending time with his two children and two grandchildren, and catching up with good friends. What he loves most about Charlottesville is the people and its small-town charm, even as the area continues to grow.
David Inscoe, Vice President, Business Development
David has 14 years of experience in the pest control industry. He enjoys the problem-solving aspect of pest control. Every situation is different. It’s incredibly satisfying to find the right solution to each unique challenge, so people have peace of mind in their homes and businesses. His inspiration behind Monticello Pest Solutions was to create a business where customers feel truly valued and to make a difference in the community. Furthermore, he’s committed to offering reliable, effective pest control. It is his goal to make customers feel like they’re part of the Monticello Pest family.
David’s approach to business is about building trust and providing consistent, high-quality service. Communication is key. He places great emphasis on truly listening to customers in order to find the best solution. By doing so, he builds long-term relationships, ensuring that customers feel heard, valued, and safe.
Outside of the office, David enjoys playing golf, spending time with his mother and taking her for drives in the country, taking short day trips, or relaxing in his backyard – cooking a pizza and watching sports. Most of all, he loves just being with friends. What he loves most about Charlottesville is that it’s a vibrant and welcoming community with a perfect blend of small-town charm and cultural richness. The mix of historic sites, beautiful landscapes, incredible local food and music scene, small towns nearby and the outdoors make this area hard to beat!
Geran Steljes, Vice President, Service & Delivery
Geran has almost 10 years of experience in the pest control industry. What he enjoys most about the industry is the opportunity to meet new people and build relationships. Since every customer is unique, he takes pride in tailoring solutions to pest problems to ensure homes and businesses are safe and pest-free. His inspiration in starting Monticello Pest Solutions was a genuine desire to work with two great partners. They have deep knowledge in the industry that is inspiring and motivating. Geran also aims to make a positive impact on the local community.
Geran’s approach to business is deeply rooted in building strong, meaningful relationships with both customers and the community. He prioritizes personalized service and aims to be a trusted, reliable resource. It’s not just about treating pest problems. It is about understanding the unique needs of each client and offering proactive solutions that make a lasting impact.
Outside of work, Geran loves spending time on their farm with his wife and four kids – two young boys and twin girls. Whether it’s working together on projects or simply enjoying time outdoors, family life is a big focus. He also prioritizes staying connected with friends and colleagues. He values staying active in the community, and always finds ways to give back. This balance of family, work, and community keeps him grounded and reminds him of the value of building strong, supportive relationships. What he loves about the Charlottesville area is the combination of natural beauty, rich history, and strong sense of community. People genuinely care for one another, and there’s a strong sense of pride in supporting local. All of these things make Charlottesville the perfect environment to raise a family.
